The opportunity

EY Canada is seeking an experienced Manager - Technical Architect to join our growing Microsoft Power Platform team. Our Microsoft solutions group extends from advisory and planning, design and architecture, implementation, training, business adoption. With our extensive network of industry experts working across four service lines, EY is uniquely positioned as a leader in helping our clients capitalize on increasing customer and data-centric digital transformation strategies.

Your key responsibilities:

Technical Leadership
  • Lead the design of end-to-end Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, AI Builder) aligned with business objectives
  • Translate functional and business requirements into scalable technical architecture and specifications
  • Define and enforce non-functional requirements including performance, security, scalability, and compliance
  • Act as the technical authority across engagements, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices
  • Conduct code reviews and design validations to ensure solution quality, maintainability, and performance


Project Delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of Power Platform projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, solution architects, and client stakeholders.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards, especially in regulated environments.

Business Development & Practice Development
  • Support business development and pre-sales activities across the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Contribute to solutioning and solution design, ensuring alignment with client needs and EY standards.
  • Participate in deal governance and internal approval processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Support effort estimation, pricing, and proposal development for client engagements.


Client Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead technical workshops and demos to showcase platform capabilities.
  • Provide strategic input on digital transformation initiatives leveraging Power Platform.


Team Management & Mentorship
  • Manage and mentor consultants, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new technical talent.
  • Promote agile delivery practices and DevOps principles across teams.


Skills and attributes for success
  • Minimum 6-8 years in software development or technical consulting, with at least 3 years in Power Platform leadership roles.
