Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote Afinitas products and serve as the point of contact through direct interface with the engineering community, including engineers, specifiers, DOT's, and municipalities.
  • Provide technical assistance and expertise as required.
  • Gain necessary external approvals to allow the sale of Afinitas products in regions that are identified as key strategic targets across USA and Canada.
  • Deliver technical presentations, including development and use of PowerPoint, handouts, and preparation of materials to help grow the awareness of the Afinitas group, product lines and capabilities.
  • Determine potential impact of regulatory changes (such as "Made in America") and work with leadership to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Provide engineering expertise as well as oversite and management of external resources to support Concrete Accessories product testing and development projects.
  • Customer and Market engagement:
    • Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers to provide technical support and expertise to customers, as needed (including engineering support to gain customer approval of Afinitas products).
    • Enter and update new and existing contacts and sales opportunities into CRM on a weekly basis. Enter notes and attach documents that are important to the history of each contact and opportunity in accordance with company procedures for contacts within territory.
    • Cultivate relationships and be active in both national and local industry associations and organizations such as National Concrete Precast Association (NCPA), American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA), Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association (CCPPA), Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), etc.
    • Attend, exhibit, and present at industry shows and events.
  • Remain current on information relevant to job by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal/professional networks.
  • Other duties assigned as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Civil Engineering role.
  • Sales or technical sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly customer oriented with strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple and sometimes shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team and to excel in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area. 10 - 15% Travel after onboarding
  • The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of the posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
