Position Overview

Autodesk Water Customer Success is looking for a highly motivated Technical Adoption Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them maximize the value of their Autodesk investment and achieve measurable business outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced water industry professional with expertise in Drainage Design and Storm, Sewer, and Flood (SSF) modeling who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building strong customer relationships, and helping organizations adopt new technologies and workflows. In this role, you will combine your industry and technical expertise with a customer-focused approach to guide customers toward successful adoption of Autodesk Water solutions across a range of project types and enterprise environments.

You will work closely with strategic and major accounts across the AMER region, partnering with customers and Autodesk account teams to understand business and technical objectives, identify adoption opportunities, and deliver targeted technical guidance, coaching, and services that drive meaningful outcomes.

You will join Autodesk's Emerging Business Customer Success (EBCS) organization, a collaborative team focused on helping strategic customers realize greater value from Autodesk solutions. Through proactive engagement, technical expertise, and scalable customer success programs, EBCS helps customers overcome adoption barriers, improve workflows, build capabilities, and expand their use of Autodesk technology.

Responsibilities
  • Innovate, develop, and deliver scalable, packaged service offerings that accelerate customer success, product adoption, and realized value from Autodesk solutions
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships as a technical trusted advisor, partnering with customers to understand their business and technical objectives and guide them toward successful outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal account teams through regular account planning and customer success activities, contributing technical expertise and executing initiatives aligned with Customer Success Plans
  • Demonstrate thought leadership, industry knowledge, and deep product expertise to help customers achieve the goals and outcomes identified in their Customer Success Plans
  • Identify customer needs, adoption barriers, and expansion opportunities that increase the value customers realize from Autodesk solutions and support continued account growth
  • Leverage customer usage data, analytics, and technical insights to provide proactive recommendations, identify adoption opportunities, and guide customers toward best practices
  • Develop and deliver technical learning content, enablement programs, and expert coaching for Autodesk Water customers to build capability, increase adoption, and promote effective use of Autodesk solutions
  • Apply a structured problem-management and continuous-improvement approach to identify recurring challenges, determine root causes, and develop scalable solutions and improvement initiatives
  • Capture and share customer insights, technical best practices, and repeatable solutions to strengthen internal knowledge and improve the broader customer experience
  • Travel approximately 2-4 times per year to support customer engagements, team activities, and strategic events as needed


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in drainage design, stormwater and sewer modeling, flood analysis, or related water infrastructure disciplines
  • Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Autodesk InfoDrainage, SSA, and/or Bentley StormCAD, including their application to real-world drainage design and analysis workflows
  • Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, with experience integrating design and hydraulic/hydrologic analysis workflows
  • Experience with Autodesk InfoWorks ICM or similar hydraulic and hydrologic modeling solutions is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of industry workflows, engineering practices, and customer challenges related to drainage, stormwater, wastewater, and flood management
  • Ability to identify technical challenges, adoption barriers, and opportunities that can significantly improve customer adoption, outcomes, and realized value
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate complex customer challenges into practical, scalable solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements and initiatives simultaneously, effectively prioritizing activities based on customer needs and business impact
  • Ability to adapt quickly, learn new technologies and workflows, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences in both live and virtual settings
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for technology, innovation, continuous learning, and helping customers achieve successful outcomes
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $76,000 and $136,730. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
