Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Team Leader Supervisor - Night Shift

Schedule 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | 2-2-3 rotation

We are looking for a strong people leader to join our team as a Team Leader Supervisor in a fast-paced manufacturing and/or warehouse environment. In this role, you will lead daily operations with a focus on safety, production performance, team development, quality, and continuous improvement. You will supervise a large hourly workforce, guide front-line coordinators, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to help deliver outstanding operational results.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving processes, and making a direct impact on day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do:
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
  • Lead daily production activities, including staffing, scheduling, and work assignments
  • Drive performance in quality, output, cost, and on-time delivery
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop hourly associates and operations coordinators
  • Address attendance, performance, and development needs in a clear and consistent manner
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, flow, and overall performance
  • Maintain housekeeping, process discipline, and ISO-aligned procedural standards
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to solve problems and support new products or processes


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing or technical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or military technical role
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coach employees, and drive accountability
  • Working knowledge of production planning, staffing, and capacity management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to support other shifts as business needs require


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or another technical field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification
  • Experience in union or non-union environments
  • Experience leading continuous improvement efforts with measurable results


This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $80,750.00 - $111,031.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
