Full Job Description

As Team Leader, IT Foundations, you’re part of the IT Foundations Development and Operations Department, which delivers in scaled agile (SAFe) and DevOps, and is responsible for several highly critical platforms for the organization. Your role consists in providing managerial support in a multidisciplinary team of around 25 people in various IT roles. In addition to handling the coordination of scheduled projects and activities for your unit, you support talent development and drive engagement by creating a positive, motivating work environment. You work in a critical environment that requires a rigorous approach (automated testing, continuous non-regression, proactive alerts, stress and intrusion testing, etc.). You support the following technologies, to be developed by your team: API Gateway (Broadcom Layer 7), iPaaS (Boomi), event streaming (Kafka) and developer self-service platforms (Portal, automated delivery tools). More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Identify, develop and recommend strategic directions to develop the department, its products and services
  • Structure teams to achieve program goals, support our business lines and deliver continuous value
  • Serve as a resource person for initiatives in various areas (inclusion, increased engagement, process simplification, cross-team collaboration, etc.)
  • Meet targets on time and on budget and manage results, performance, quality and the satisfaction of dedicated clients (internal) and partners
  • Develop training and skills development strategies and action plans for team members
  • Help resolve complaints and dissatisfaction in accordance with the organization’s practices
  • Participate in hiring, performance management, discipline, and skills development.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including three years in a team supervision role.
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience analyzing and understanding reports
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in agile mode
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
