Job Summary

The Platform Enablement Team Lead will guide a team of engineers that own several micro-services on Delinea Platform and often find themselves accelerating other teams. They have a strong understanding of the full picture from the lowest level data calls all the way up to the micro-services and deployment of services to how the cloud services interact on a broad scale or within the Kubernetes pods. Being able to operate on any level allows them to fill gaps in other teams that may only have a part of the picture. They love to work on all the things and you love to get into the code with them.

Primarily responsible for the App Registration service, which allows all other platform services to connect to cloud providers in a secure and controlled manner. Other services range from module federation UI management, user preferences, user experience, front-end messaging, branding configuration, tenant experience, and more.

This position plays a key role in strengthening Delinea's identity and access management ecosystem through high-quality engineering practices and innovation. We want to learn, solve complex problems, and work together as a strong team. You will report to the director of engineering, Platform Intelligence.

Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Lead and grow a team of software engineers that work on the entire stack, including hiring, coaching, and career development.
  • Interact regularly with other teams to understand their needs or how you can accelerate them
  • Translate product, and engineering roadmaps into operational plans, and guide the team through execution and delivery across the Delinea Platform.
  • Determine staffing and resourcing needs to meet project schedules and goals.
  • Partner with peer engineering managers, product managers, architects, and DevOps/SRE leadership to align priorities and present results and recommendations.
  • Guide the team using established engineering practices and department standards, recommending improvements where needed.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage the day-to-day work of the platform enablement engineering team, balancing feature delivery, technical debt, and platform reliability.
  • Own delivery of the team's roadmap for multiple platform services, ensuring alignment with Delinea's engineering standards.
  • Engage other teams as needed to help guide them
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning for direct reports.
  • Oversee code and design reviews to maintain a high bar for performance, scalability, and supportability.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps/SRE teams to define and prioritize the roadmap, ensuring compliance with all standards.
  • Champion engineering best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship across the team.
  • Use and promote the use of AI-assisted tooling including LLM-based automation and AI-driven observability for use in engineering workflows.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Experience using various technologies including Cosmos, SQL Server, .NET, Angular, TypeScript, GO, Python, Terraform, and many more.
  • Hands-on background with Azure and/or AWS - Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals
  • Able to understand and diagnose complex cross service issues using telemetry tooling such as Datadog RUM and other internally developed services.
  • Practical experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and privileged access control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor within a collaborative team environment.

We'd Love to See:
  • Experience with application registration and natural security awareness
  • Passion for building solutions that enable other teams and platform supportability
  • Someone that enjoys context switching so you get to play with all the things
  • Experience with SaaS products running in a cloud environment such as Azure
  • Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog RUM, Grafana) for monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Prior experience in AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management.
  • Proven success in Agile software development and continuous delivery environments.
