What you will be doing!- Leading a team of remediation, restoration, and project coordinators to support successful project delivery.
- Supporting the execution of remediation and restoration projects through planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborating with contractors and project stakeholders to identify challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Participating in developing project execution strategies, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
- Reporting project status, progress, risks, and emerging issues to management and project partners.
- Supporting the interface between engineering, design, remediation, and restoration activities.
- Reviewing constructability assessments, technical documentation, work packages, and remediation plans.
- Assisting with procurement activities, contractor site visits, tender evaluations, and project award processes.
- Attending construction and project meetings and supporting the coordination of field execution activities.
- Monitoring technical progress on engineering, design, and contractor work activities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Coordinating lessons learned activities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with developing, training, coaching, and mentoring Project Coordinators and project staff.
- Supporting the establishment and management of project controls, budgets, schedules, and reporting systems.
- Tracking project milestones, financial performance, schedules, and key deliverables.
- Supporting workforce planning, performance management, and the assignment of work to internal and external resources.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, radiation protection, and organizational requirements.
- Acting on behalf of management, as required, to support project and operational activities.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for: - Education
- Diploma from an accredited college in Construction Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible project experience in a senior project or team leadership role.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, remediation, restoration, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing teams, budgets, schedules, contracts, and project performance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, designers, regulators, and project stakeholders.
- Experience applying project management principles throughout the project lifecycle from planning through execution and closeout.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams within construction, remediation, or infrastructure project environments.
- Demonstrated project management expertise across scope, cost, schedule, quality assurance, communications, human resources, risk, procurement, and integration management.
- Strong planning, budgeting, resource management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with contractors, consultants, regulators, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing project risks, challenges, and competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Strong negotiation, contract administration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, motivate, and develop employees and project professionals.
- Applied knowledge of construction practices, remediation projects, restoration activities, and project delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze technical information, make risk-informed decisions, and resolve complex project issues.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
Working Conditions:- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
