Job Summary

The Team Lead for the Program Support Team provides senior-level engineering analysis, technical writing, and cross-functional coordination in support of program requirements. This role leads analytical efforts, oversees technical documentation, and ensures logistics and engineering integration through structured methodologies, configuration principles, and disciplined review processes. The Team Lead translates complex technical analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making and effective program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Technical Analysis
  • Apply engineering analysis methods to evaluate system performance, technical baselines, and program requirements.
  • Conduct assessments that integrate logistics and engineering considerations, ensuring alignment across lifecycle phases.
  • Utilize configuration management and configuration control principles to support accurate technical baselines.
  • Program Review & Assessment Support
  • Support and lead technical reviews, program assessments, and milestone activities.
  • Prepare analytical products, findings, and evaluation results for decision briefs, reviews, and leadership engagements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and program management stakeholders to ensure technical consistency and accuracy.

Technical Writing & Documentation
  • Produce high-quality technical documents, analysis summaries, reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure technical content is clear, complete, and aligned with program standards, requirements, and templates.
  • Translate complex engineering analysis into actionable technical recommendations for program leadership.

Team Leadership
  • Lead the Program Support Team in developing, reviewing, and delivering technical products.
  • Provide task oversight, workload distribution, and quality assurance for team deliverables.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements that enhance team performance and output.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance Management, Technical Discipline, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting maintenance operations, engineering analysis, logistics integration, or related sustainment activities, preferably within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance operations, engineering analysis methodologies, and logistics-engineering integration principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex maintenance and sustainment data and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve operational readiness and performance.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in maintenance, engineering, logistics, and sustainment environments.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD maintenance operations and engineering programs, including sustainment, readiness, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance policies, engineering processes, technical directives, and logistics support requirements.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, configuration management, and system lifecycle sustainment processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis, reporting, or technical documentation tools.
  • Experience supporting aviation, weapons systems, or complex defense platform sustainment programs.
