Team LeadLocation: Travel proximity to a Marsh office (U.S.) - hybrid/flexible; travel as requiredPosition Summary: The Team Lead is the front-line people leader for a team of project managers and/or CIW consultants. This role balances hands-on consulting and project management on a reduced caseload with daily leadership responsibilities that drive consultant performance, coaching, and career development. The Team Lead ensures consultants adopt a consultative, impact-focused mindset, delivers measurable client outcomes, escalates personnel or performance issues when needed, and acts as the primary liaison between consultants, project managers, and practice leadership.
What will you do?- Lead a team of project managers and/or CIW consultants day-to-day: set priorities, assign workstreams, monitor progress, and remove blockers to delivery.
- Maintain a reduced claim inventory or serve as project manager on select engagements to model delivery expectations and preserve subject-matter currency.
- Coach consultants to focus on outcomes (reserve movement, cycle time reduction, closure rates, client value) rather than transactional activity; provide regular, actionable feedback.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance check-ins, and development conversations; support creation of individual development plans and competency growth.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training, shadowing, or targeted learning to raise team capability.
- Monitor consultant quality and adherence to delivery standards; surface trends and coordinate remediation with the Zone Leader.
- Raise and manage performance or personnel escalations promptly and professionally; facilitate documentation, performance plans, and recommended next steps with zone/practice leadership and HR as appropriate.
- Coordinate with project managers and practice leaders to align resourcing, schedules, and client priorities; escalate capacity or scope concerns early.
- Track and report team metrics and KPIs (utilization, throughput, outcomes, client satisfaction) to the Zone Leader.
- Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and ramp plans for new consultants; validate readiness for independent delivery.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and client-first delivery.

What you need to have?- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- 5+ years of claims, consulting, or program delivery experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
- Strong coaching and people-management skills with a track record of developing individual contributors.
- Demonstrated ability to balance individual contributor work with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience working with multiple TPA/claims systems and comfort with claims data, KPIs, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with RMIS or BI tools a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work a hybrid schedule.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $112,600 to $239,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
