  • Execute agile practices with sound judgment on AI estimates and delivery commitments.
  • Represent the Austin team's technical direction in cross-site decisions and align with EMEA counterparts.
  • Strengthen the team by conducting hiring interviews and overseeing the onboarding process.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 6-8 engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to drive high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with teams across Austin and EMEA to plan, prioritize, and deliver features and platform capabilities.
  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices for software development, testing, security, and release management.
  • Stay technically engaged by supporting architectural decisions, reviewing designs, and helping teams solve complex technical challenges.
  • Support agile planning and execution, ensuring realistic commitments, clear priorities, and predictable delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align business goals with technical execution.
  • Help grow the organization through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and career development.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern software development practices and distributed systems.
  • Experience delivering complex software products in agile environments.
  • Proven ability to drive engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, security best practices, and release processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • German language skills are a plus.
