Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of 6-8 engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to drive high-quality delivery.
- Partner with teams across Austin and EMEA to plan, prioritize, and deliver features and platform capabilities.
- Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices for software development, testing, security, and release management.
- Stay technically engaged by supporting architectural decisions, reviewing designs, and helping teams solve complex technical challenges.
- Support agile planning and execution, ensuring realistic commitments, clear priorities, and predictable delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align business goals with technical execution.
- Help grow the organization through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and career development.
Requirements- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern software development practices and distributed systems.
- Experience delivering complex software products in agile environments.
- Proven ability to drive engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, security best practices, and release processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- German language skills are a plus.
