Manager - Manufacturing Engineering & MaintenanceWork Mode: Onsite

OpportunityProvides leadership andtechnical guidance for the identification, planning and execution of Engineering programs consistent with soundengineering practices and company policies to facilitate the execution of the maintenance plan and support the overall manufacturing processes in a proactivemanner. The incumbent develops andimplements the engineering strategy of all Engineering and Maintenance functions that supportthe overall strategic direction of the business including; Process, Plant,Robotics and Quality Engineering, NPD and Tooling.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the daily efforts of the engineering and maintenance group aimed at identifying, leading, and completing productivity, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, quality, and cost reduction projects in the plant that will provide a competitive advantage and profitability.
- Develop, teach, and champion process engineering and maintenance procedures, tools, and techniques. Participate in engineering reviews of project tasks. Coach to ensure informed decisions are made concerning technical content of projects.
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and recommend new approaches/tools.
- Ensure capable engineering and maintenance resources are in place and provide support for the strategic, physical and tactical implementation at the plant.
- Design and develop new or improved processes to improve safety, ergonomics and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
- Technical resources in the management of equipment and tooling requirements.
- Support Process Engineers and maintenance in evaluating and assessing the applicability and efficiency of the production methodology, materials, and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts to constantly improve the process and lower costs.
- Supervise the obtaining of information for proposed new production, materials or processes, or modifications to existing products, materials or processes.
- Accountable for key input to facilities expansion requirements, both as to type of equipment and timing of construction. Providing planning input and coordination with Kohler corporate engineering, staff engineering or outside engineering firms .
Skills/Requirements - Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required, master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough understanding manufacturing processes and systems and the engineering and maintenance expertise to support those processes or systems.
- Experience in the fiberglass or plastics industry preferred.
- Proven success leading an engineering and maintenance team.
- Exceptional communication and computer skills
- Effective use of project management tools and techniques.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
