Salary Range: $70,310 - $90,500

F/A-18 Integrated Product Team (IPT) is seeking a qualified person to perform as a Systems Engineer for the F/A-18 A-D Hornet Team. This individual will also require a strong communication and coordination skillset.

Essential Job Functions

Technical Requirements Decomposition.

Interface Control Document implementation with the understanding of how various subsystems send/receive data from other systems.

Test and Evaluation test generation and execution to include test points and test procedures.

Project planning and coordination of F/A-18 A-D subsystems into an integrated communications system.

Communicate and coordinate regarding project status with various technical team members and leadership.

Develop plans and present data to project team members and leadership regarding program status and technical aspects.

Provide engineering analysis, recommendations, and solutions for complex challenges during system design and anomaly corrections.

Represent anomalies and pursue remedies through the Document Change Request Board (DCRB) process.

Work with project officers to ensure requirements are being implemented and ensuring coverage. Ability to break down complex problems and systems into manageable parts.

Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams both internal and external to the product team.

Participate in peer review for various requirements documentation (Functional Requirement Sheets/Documents, Interface Control Documents, Statement of Limitations, System and Subsystem Requirements, etc.).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 1-year minimal experience required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.

The individual must have strong communication skills that are necessary to effectively coordinate integration and certification activities across multiple engineering disciplines and support organizations.

Must have experience with requirements decomposition and system architect design.

Attention to detail, flexibility, and professionalism.

Travel may be required.

Desired Skills:

Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively (written/oral).
