What You'll Do- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support student success
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs tailored to student needs
- Adapt curriculum and differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and abilities
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for students with visual impairments
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to maximize academic, social, and daily living skills
- Monitor, assess, document, and communicate student progress, goals, and outcomes
- Maintain accurate records for attendance, grading, assessments, and compliance requirements
- Build strong partnerships with students, families, and school staff through effective communication and collaboration
- Apply knowledge of special education practices, visual impairment supports, curriculum, and educational technology
- Stay current on educational best practices, special education laws, and professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For- Active (or eligible) Tennessee educator license with a Special Education: Vision PreK-12 endorsement
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and accommodations for students with visual impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred, not required
