Job Duties:

The Deputy Director position within the Rehabilitation and Reentry Division is a key executive leader who supports the implementation of agency and division strategic vision and ensures effective daytoday operations. Division operations include engagement in contract management and oversight, reentry services and programs, substance use treatment, sex offender treatment, veteran services, budget management, and Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI).

This position is responsible for managing complex initiatives, such as grant administration, program evaluations, organizational changes and turning longterm strategy into practical plans. The Deputy Director position is critical for maintaining operational stability and ensures the Director can focus on vision and highlevel strategy.

The Deputy Director represents the division at meetings and activities across the state and participates in legislative processes to include the implementation of changes. The Deputy Director bridges the gap between highlevel strategies and daytoday operations, keeping operations on track and stepping in where the Director is unavailable, balancing planning with handson management.

You have experience with multimilliondollar operational projects, to include budgeting, procurement, communication and implementation of program activities.

You can pass the Certified Texas Contract Manager course and exam, within 12months of hire.
