Tax & Treasury IT Manager
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IIT Tax and Treasury Product Owner to join our dynamic team. As anIT Tax and Treasury Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering technology solutions that support Tax and Treasury business processes. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and external partners to ensure systems, integrations, and data capabilities meet business needs, compliance requirements, and operational objectives.
The Product Owner will manage the product roadmap, translate business requirements into actionable user stories, guide solution delivery, and drive continuous improvement across Tax and Treasury platforms.

- Own and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Tax and Treasury technology solutions.
- Partner with Tax, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technology requirements.
- Prioritize product features, enhancements, defects, and technical debt based on business value, risk, compliance impact, and delivery capacity.
- Develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business requirements for agile delivery teams.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, data teams, and vendors to design scalable and compliant solutions.
- Support systems and processes related to areas such as tax reporting, indirect tax, direct tax, transfer pricing, cash management, liquidity, banking, payments, debt, investments, and financial risk management.
- Ensure technology solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate testing, user acceptance, release planning, and change management activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Tax and Treasury systems, integrations, data flows, and process dependencies.
- Manage stakeholder communications, including roadmap updates, delivery status, risks, and issue resolution.
- Support vendor relationships and third-party application management as needed.
- Maintain awareness of changes in tax, treasury, finance, and technology trends that may impact systems or processes.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Four (4) years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role
- Three (3) years of experience with SAP in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with SAP, Kyriba, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Vertex, SWIFT, banking platforms, or other Tax and Treasury systems.
- Knowledge of corporate tax, indirect tax, cash management, payments, bank connectivity, intercompany funding, or financial risk management processes.
- Experience with integrations, APIs, data management, reporting, and analytics.
- Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, cybersecurity, and data privacy considerations.
- Ability to translate complex business processes into clear technology requirements.
- Experience supporting global business processes and Application Managed Services.
