A Typical Day in the Life: As a tax supervisor, you will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities may include: - Onboard and mentor new staff and interns while supervising workload distribution
- Preparation of the highest level of returns and workpapers and draft technical memos
- Detail review of tax returns, providing feedback and strategic insights
- Develop expertise in specialized tax areas and respond to IRS/state notices
- Contribute to training initiatives including content development
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of client engagements
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for value-added services
- Support administrative tasks, stay current with tax law and technology, and recommend process improvements

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience in tax preparation and review
- Actively pursuing CPA or other relevant certification(s)
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one tax type (business or individual); working knowledge of others
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel and Word)
- Strong ability to interpret tax documentation and regulations
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
