Full Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate the preparation of tax returns for real estate investment funds, REITs, partnerships, and related investment structures.

  • Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, partnership allocations, and transactional matters involving real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.

  • Review and research complex tax issues affecting real estate investment entities and prepare memorandums supporting conclusions.

  • Manage client engagements by coordinating resources, monitoring engagement progress, and ensuring timely delivery of services.

  • Build relationships with investment managers, fund executives, and other stakeholders while identifying opportunities to expand client service offerings.

  • Collaborate with professionals across the firm to deliver integrated solutions for real estate investment clients.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor staff and seniors while fostering technical development and engagement success.

  • Stay current on tax law developments and industry trends impacting REITs, real estate funds, and institutional investors.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1 year in a managerial role involving clients and team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Taxation

  • CPA or equivalent credential

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. The compensation range for this position: $111,800 - $169,800. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
