OverviewA Bit About The Role
Reporting to the SVP Finance, Corporate Controller, the tax role will serve as the liaison between our outsourced tax function and Imagine on global Federal Tax returns and will also manage Sales and Use, Local, Withholding, and VAT taxes. A primary focus will be finding ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency as it relates to our other outsourced tax responsibilities. This role will be crucial in providing practical tax advice and commercial solutions to support the business operations to ensure global tax compliance.
- Manage One Source (tax validation software)
- Primary liaison on outsourced Federal Tax returns
- Provide support on annual Tax Provision
- Manage sales and local tax function including monthly reporting and various audits
- Perform general accounting, reconciliations, and detailed analysis for tax accounts
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the balance sheet including research and corrections
- Interface with external auditors to manage year end requests
- Collaborate with different functional teams to ensure the accuracy of the accounting data
- Must love challenging opportunities to assist or co-design solutions to perplexing issues that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting team
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience with fully-integrated ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred);
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in complex multinational corporate environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in the close process; performance of balance sheet reconciliations;
- Demonstrated change agility and the ability to seize ownership and drive tasks to completion in a timely and efficient manner
- Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts
- Comprehensive knowledge of the consolidation process and GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure, in planful and self-directed manner, and meet deadlines
- Able to research and problem solve on their own
- Strong proficiency with MS Office suite and advanced skill with Excel.
