Job Description

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the team in our Atlanta office on our Hospitality/Private Client Services team in a Hybrid capacity.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is

determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

This position is rooted within the Hospitality/Private Client Services practice with a focus on tax services for Family Offices and UHNWIs. We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual and familial needs. The right candidate will own the attributes of executive presence and emotional intelligence, as well as having a growth mindset. They will also be eager to collaborate on client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Leading and managing multiple tax engagements that integrate tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies
  • Presenting federal and state income tax returns and strategizing for clients
  • Identifying industry/client tax planning opportunities and issues
  • Facilitating complex tax research, and establishing tax strategies to client business opportunities
  • Advise regarding IRS and state issues, and respond to correspondence and audits
  • Assisting with interim tax projections and year end closeouts
  • Implementing tax advice in response to new legislations and planning
  • Providing supervision, training, mentoring and guidance to tax staff, seniors and other members of the team


YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
  • Hospitality experience is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor's Degree and CPA required
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with flow through entities and individuals required
  • Knowledge of audit software such as Engagement and CCH Axcess a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
