The role requires expertise in partnership taxation and investment fund structures, combined with strong project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the review and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns for domestic fund entities, including Form 1065 partnership returns, Schedule K-1s, and related state filings.
• Manage offshore fund tax reporting obligations, including PFIC statements, Subpart F income analysis, and FBAR/Form 8938 filings.
• Manage the annual Schedule K-1 process end-to-end, coordinating with fund administrators and ensuring on-time delivery to investors.
• Oversee FATCA and CRS compliance obligations, including investor classification, W-8/W-9 documentation, and withholding determinations.
• Oversee tax compliance for the management company and general partner entities, including estimated tax payments and review of carried interest and profits interest allocations.
• Identify and advise on tax planning opportunities to optimize after-tax returns and enhance the firm's overall tax efficiency, including analysis for new fund launches and restructurings.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on fund structures and compliance obligations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for investor tax inquiries, including questions related to Schedule K-1s, UBTI, and ECI.
• Maintain a comprehensive tax compliance calendar and develop internal controls to ensure accuracy and consistency across the tax function.
• Coordinate and manage federal, state, and local tax audits and notices, including compliance with IRS partnership audit rules under the Bipartisan Budget Act (BBA).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex tax issues independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
• Highly organized self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can manage multiple concurrent workstreams.

Benefits
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
