The successful candidate will manage and oversee clients tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues and recognize tax planning opportunities. Manage workflows, deadlines, deliverables, and client communications. This role will also be responsible for training and developing professional staff.
As a Tax Director, you will:• Provides leadership to team including coaching, mentoring and professional development or oversight to a department. Responsible for providing performance feedback on a regular basis.
• Executes a strategy and plans to grow a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients.
• Communicates and consults effectively with clients to gather information, explain tax concepts, and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Solves problems for middle-market clients. Manages engagements and providing knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns.
• Builds and serves our partnerships and high net-worth individuals with estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance needs.
• Consults with clients on tax planning to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial opportunities.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Maintains accurate and organized records of client transactions and tax documents.
• Stays updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients.
• Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the role:• Bachelor's Degree College degree in Accounting, Master's preferred.
• Must be CPA certified with an active CPA license.
• 10+ Experience in business taxation working for a Big 4, large national or regional accounting firm.
• Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporations, LLCs and Partnerships.
• Demonstrated background in working with pass-through entity taxation, particularly with partnerships.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP. Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower people and teams.
• Great client service with uncompromising integrity.
• Strong technical and communication skills to coordinate with peers, managers, and clients.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent project management abilities with superior organizational skills
• Proficiency with personal computers including spreadsheet software programs.

Pay Range: $167,000 - $290,000
