Full Job Description
[solidcore] is launching a new modality and looking for a Talent & Product Development Manager to lead the design, build, and scaling of this offering from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Product Strategy, this role is preferably based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. This is a rare opportunity to shape a brand-new fitness concept end-to-end from programming and coaching philosophy to talent strategy and training infrastructure. Our ideal candidate is a builder at heart: creative, rigorous, and energized by the challenge of turning a vision into a best-in-class product and team.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & Methodology
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Product Strategy to develop the training methodology for the new modality concept
  • Refine the product offerings, including the workout and its programming elements (equipment, lighting, sound, etc.) as well as the full class experience and coaching techniques used pre-class, in-class, and post-class
  • Lead the design and launch of additional formats as the modality expands

Talent Strategy & Hiring
  • Define the ideal coach profile for this modality, including athletic background, teaching ability, and brand alignment
  • Provide input on the hiring process, including audition structure and evaluation criteria
  • Continuously refine the coach profile and hiring criteria based on training outcomes and in-studio coach performance

Training & Development Infrastructure
  • Determine the ideal equipment specifications for each format offering
  • Develop a comprehensive exercise catalog per format, including progressions, regressions, and cueing standards
  • Build a coach onboarding and training program from the ground up
  • Plan and execute new coach trainings
  • Develop daily program resources for all formats
  • Design a continuing education program to deepen coach skill over time and maintain quality as the team scales
  • Create a structured feedback loop for ongoing coach development, including observation cadences, performance benchmarks, and growth plans

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in fitness programming, coach development, or product design within a group fitness or boutique fitness environment
  • Prior experience coaching and/or training coaches in a high-volume, high-standards studio setting
  • Certified Personal Training Certification from an accredited program is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build curriculum, programming, or training systems from scratch
  • Strong eye for product: able to translate a brand vision into the details of a class experience (movement, music, lighting, language, pacing)
  • Proven ability to lead, connect with, and inspire a team, with experience coaching and motivating groups of instructors or coaches
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to drive multiple workstreams in parallel
  • Excellent time management skills and consistency in completing tasks required
  • Proficiency with G-suite and Zoom
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to conduct auditions, trainings, and workshops as the business dictates. Non-traditional availability is expected to meet the needs of the business, including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive starting salary, based on experience
  • Monthly cell phone stipend
  • 401k with employer match
  • Health, dental, & vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • Free drop in classes at [solidcore]
