Job Description

About the Role

DBI Construction Consultants is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who knows that great hiring is a combination of strategy, relationship-building, and hustle. This person will help us attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent while providing a white-glove candidate experience that is organized, caring and genuinely personal. This is a chance to shape how an ambitious, industry-leading company grows, one great hire at a time.

This position will partner closely with hiring managers, proactively maintain structure to the recruiting process, and help us build teams that are high-performing, inclusive, and excited to be a part of the DBI culture. If you care deeply about people and know how to balance intuition with data, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Partner

  • Represent DBI Consultants and build relationships at the intersection of Construction and Insurance industries
  • Partner with leadership to understand team needs and build smart hiring strategies
  • Advise hiring teams on interview best practices, market trends, and talent availability
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from origination through onboarding

Talent Acquisition Expert

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a range of entry-level, professional, and leadership roles
  • Source top talent through LinkedIn, networking, referrals, events, and other creative channels
  • Review resumes and conduct phone screens to evaluate skills, experience, and overall fit
  • Coordinate and manage interview processes from kickoff to offer, keeping things smooth, timely, and organized
  • Track recruiting activity and use data to improve time-to-fill, quality of hire, and process efficiency

Entry-Level Program Management

  • Design and execute a college hiring strategy with local alumni/representatives
  • Lead an established, best-in-class internship program to pipeline future entry-level hiring
  • Make DBI Consultants an employer of choice at target schools across the U.S.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business, Communications, or similar required or commensurate additional years’ full time experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, ideally in a fast-paced, national environment
  • Proven success managing full-cycle recruiting across a dozen roles concurrently while managing college relations as a program
  • Experience in the Construction or Property Insurance industries preferred
  • Experience with Workday Recruiting or similar ATS software preferred
  • Strong sourcing skills and confidence engaging passive building consultant candidates
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with candidates and stakeholders alike
  • Strong project management instincts with the ability to stay organized, prioritize well, and keep momentum moving
  • A collaborative, proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in an evolving environment

NYC-Based

This position is based out of our headquarters in Herald Square, New York City. We believe in-person office work is the foundation for strong relationships and taking care of one another. Our office is outfitted with an open floor layout, a well-stocked kitchen, relaxed living room aka “the jungle”, and diverse often updated playlists.

The starting salary range will be $80,000 - $120,000 plus twice annual bonus potential. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to an individual’s qualifications, internal equity, and alignment with market data. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, holidays, health/dental/vision, retirement 401k match, and flexible spending accounts.
