Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Senior Human Resources Director

Department: Human Resources

Location: Boston, onsite

The Opportunity

In collaboration with the Senior Director of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for designing and executing modern, data-informed recruiting strategies in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role leads full-cycle recruiting across the organization - job design, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding - with a strong emphasis on proactive outreach to passive talent rather than reliance on inbound applications. The position also owns hiring process improvement, the candidate and hiring manager experience, employer brand in the digital marketplace, and the development of a high-performing recruiting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively source, identify, and engage active and passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, professional networks, alumni and referral networks, community partnerships, and niche healthcare job boards
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, including senior and executive-level positions
  • In collaboration with the Senior Human Resources Director, develop and execute creative talent acquisition strategies to build a strong candidate pipeline
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create job descriptions, and implement effective sourcing strategies
  • Drive a candidate-centric approach to ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring process
  • Provide recommendations and implement best practices to improve recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes, including structured interview guides and consistent evaluation criteria
  • Own recruiting metrics and dashboard reporting - time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, offer acceptance, quality of hire, and new-hire retention - and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the recruiting team, supporting their professional growth
  • Own and grow Vitra Health's employer brand across LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and other review and social platforms; partner with internal marketing on recruitment campaigns and employee-generated content
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers and leadership
  • Identify and leverage new sourcing channels for active and passive candidates
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines and talent communities for recurring and hard-to-fill roles, so that hiring does not begin from zero each time a vacancy opens
  • Develop high-volume and continuous-hiring strategies for frontline clinical and caregiving roles, including community sourcing, referral programs, and hiring events
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment law, MassHealth and Medicaid workforce requirements, background check and credentialing standards, and internal audit requirements
  • Monitor labor market, compensation, and competitor hiring activity, and advise leadership on where Vitra Health is positioned to win or lose talent
  • Evaluate candidates through interviews, reference checks, and alignment with role requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of hiring practices, compensation awareness, and overall organizational attractiveness
  • Participate in special projects and additional duties as needed
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Vitra, reflecting our vision, mission, and values.
  • Show genuine interest and compassion for the communities we serve and commitment to the diversity of our clients and team members.
  • Mentor and support team members.
