Position Overview

Atomic is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Talent team and partner closely with Atomic founders, CEOs, and portfolio leadership teams on critical hiring initiatives.

This role is both highly strategic and deeply hands-on. The ideal candidate is an exceptional full-cycle recruiter with strong technical recruiting expertise and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor to early-stage founders. You will lead searches across Atomic's incubated and portfolio companies, helping build foundational teams from the ground up - with a particular focus on engineering, product, data, and technical leadership hiring.

In addition to recruiting execution, this person will help develop scalable talent infrastructure, playbooks, and best practices that support Atomic's growing portfolio. The right candidate thrives in fast-moving startup environments, has strong talent judgment, and is energized by helping build companies at the earliest stages.

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across Atomic's incubated and portfolio companies, with a primary focus on technical hiring across engineering, product, data science, AI/ML, and technical leadership roles
  • Partner directly with founders and executive teams to scope roles, define hiring strategies, and drive searches from kickoff through close
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to portfolio leadership on organizational design, talent planning, leadership assessment, and compensation benchmarking
  • Build and maintain high-quality candidate pipelines and proactively cultivate relationships with top technical talent
  • Develop scalable recruiting frameworks and talent resources, including interview processes, candidate scorecards, leveling frameworks, compensation guidance, and recruiting playbooks
  • Help expand and strengthen Atomic's broader talent network across operators, executives, advisors, and industry experts
  • Manage multiple searches and stakeholder relationships simultaneously across a diverse portfolio of companies and industries
  • Partner with external recruiting agencies and search firms when needed to support priority hiring initiatives

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally spanning both agency/search firm and startup or high-growth company environments
  • Strong technical recruiting background with demonstrated success hiring for engineering, product, data science, AI/ML, and other technical functions
  • Experience recruiting for venture-backed startups or fast-paced technology companies
  • Ability to operate as a trusted advisor to founders and senior leadership teams
  • Strong talent assessment and interviewing capabilities with excellent judgment and high standards
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable interacting with executives, founders, candidates, and external partners
  • Highly organized and execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable building processes in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and adaptability across industries and business models
  • High EQ, humility, and a collaborative, team-first mindset

We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you're excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply.
