Overview

The Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible for full-cycle recruitment across the organization (individual contributor through VP roles) while directly supervising and developing a team of Talent Specialists. This role is also responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise talent programs, including internship programs, mentorship programs, onboarding programs, and early-career pipelines.

This position partners closely with hiring leaders, HR Business Partners, Internal Communications, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent, scalable, and high-quality talent acquisition and development experience aligned with Patelco's values and workforce strategy. In addition to hands-on recruiting, this role sets standards, drives continuous process improvement, and serves as the primary escalation point for Talent Specialists.

Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Development
  • Directly supervise, coach, and develop a team of Talent Specialists supporting recruiting, compliance, and talent operations.
  • Set priorities, assign workloads, and ensure service-level expectations are met across the team.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for recruiting-related issues, candidate experience concerns, and hiring manager support needs.
  • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development for Talent Specialists, including technical recruiting skills and compliance practices.
  • Conduct regular performance feedback, goal setting, and development planning for direct reports.

Talent Acquisition & Strategic Recruiting
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for roles ranging from individual contributor through VP levels, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to conduct needs assessments, define role requirements, and build customized recruitment strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing market insights, talent availability data, and recommendations on hiring approaches.
  • Research and share external market trends to ensure positions remain competitive.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines through networking, sourcing, referral strategies, and use of the applicant tracking system.
  • Manage and optimize relationships with contingent and retained search firms.

Program Development & Management
  • Design, launch, and manage structured talent programs, including but not limited to:
  • Internship programs (college, early career, and/or community-based programs)
  • Mentorship and career development programs
  • New hire onboarding programs and recruitment-driven onboarding enhancements
  • Establish program goals, success metrics, timelines, and governance to ensure programs are scalable, compliant, and aligned to workforce needs.
  • Partner with business leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to identify program participants, define roles, and ensure meaningful learning experiences.
  • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvements based on feedback and outcomes.

Operations, Process Improvement & Employer Branding
  • Oversee job postings and ensure job descriptions and external branding align with Patelco's employment value proposition.
  • Leverage technology and data to improve pipeline quality, candidate experience, and time-to-fill metrics.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional talent acquisition projects, including ATS enhancements and process optimization.
  • Produce and review recruiting and program metrics, including hiring effectiveness, time to fill, source quality, and program outcomes.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to strengthen Patelco's reputation as an employer of choice.

Target Base Pay

$105,000- $131,250 / yearly
