Job Description:

The Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience Manager develops and implements talent acquisition strategies to meet recruiting objectives and provide an engaging experience for hiring managers and candidates. They establish relationships with hiring managers, analyze trends, and recommend best-in-class talent management solutions.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Talent Acquisition
  • Design and execute talent acquisition recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-performing full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, administrators, and contingent positions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and provisions of the FITUCE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Manage and evaluate recruiting, sourcing, and hiring activities; oversee the requisition lifecycle process; develop workflows that enhance the customer experience; develop and implement strategies to increase quality of hires while decreasing hire times; manage daily transaction volume and workloads related to the hiring process.

Hiring Process Management
  • Oversee LinkedIn Recruiter administration and other social media and advertising platforms for recruitment of talent.
  • Responsible for Interview Exchange (Hirezon) applicant tracking system for recruiting, search process, hiring, verification of credentials, and background checks.
  • Collaborate with senior administration on negotiation of offers with candidates.
  • Responsible for continuous process improvement of processes, systems, communication, and training materials.

Candidate, Hiring Manager, and Search Committee Experience
  • Provide excellent customer service, including training, coaching, and proactive communication to all stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and educate hiring managers on hiring trends, metrics, interviewing techniques, and onboarding best practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring a positive candidate experience virtually and on-campus.

Planning & Reporting
  • Responsible for Quinto Job Description system. Ensure accuracy, standardized review cycles, Work with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions and ensure compliance with job classification codes.
  • Create and oversee maintenance of Talent Dashboard. Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and other data related to Talent Acquisition and Development.
  • Use data to affect continuous improvement in the end-to-end hiring process and retention of new hires.

Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise the Talent Acquisition Coordinator who assists in ensuring an efficient, effective search and hiring process.
  • Develop the Talent Coordinator by fostering an environment of team engagement in problem-solving and continual improvement.
  • Clearly communicate strategy, recommendations, and results to internal leadership.
  • Collaborate on development and execution of engagement and recognition efforts.
  • Collaborate and support all HR team members in the delivery of excellent HR services.
  • Coach and provide project leadership and advice on complex projects.

Engagement & Development
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate ongoing monthly orientation and 30-60-90 day follow-up program for new hires.
  • Develop and deliver training related to Talent Management processes and systems and other HR-related topics as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or other related field.
  • 5 to 8+years of recruitment, talent acquisition, HR operations experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in managing Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS Systems, HR data analytics, and Web Content Management Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in higher education recruitment, academic searches, or a unionized environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced software and technology skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full-cycle talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, candidate engagement, and onboarding best practices.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations governing recruitment and hiring.
  • Knowledge of human resources systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and recruitment technologies.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, talent management, and employee experience principles.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong consultative and customer service skills with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and provide an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches, competing priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Ability to use data and reporting tools to evaluate recruitment effectiveness and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and guidance on recruitment processes, interviewing best practices, and talent acquisition systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, applicant tracking systems, HR information systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing an inclusive, equitable, and positive experience for candidates, hiring managers, and employees throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Additional Information:

Please note all offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of the background check process.

Salary

Salary: $91,486.02 - $101,718.82 per year; commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hiring Salary: $91,486.02 per year with step increments per Salary Schedule 95C, after one year of service and annually thereafter.

Work Schedule

Days/Hours: M-F, 9am-5pm, in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.
