Overview

Northwest Permanente is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and data-driven Director of Talent Acquisition to lead enterprise recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning strategies for Northwest Permanente. This leader will oversee full-cycle recruitment for physicians and administrative staff, guide long-range physician workforce planning, and ensure Talent Acquisition services are aligned with organizational growth, clinical service needs, and operational priorities.The Talent Acquisition Director serves as the functional leader for Talent Acquisition, establishing strategy, standards, and practices across the organization. This role partners closely with senior leadership, along with internal and external stakeholders to build strong talent pipelines and deliver effective recruitment and onboarding outcomes.  The successful candidate will be an enterprise-minded leader who brings strategic systems design, sound data analysis, collaborative leadership, expert consultation, and the ability to promote recommendations and initiatives to diverse audiences. This leader will establish clear performance expectations, support team development, foster accountability, and model excellent service to internal and external customers.Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads the successful execution of Northwest Permanente’s recruiting strategy, including strategic design, measurement, and execution of recruiting operations and processes.
  • Partners with HR leadership and other key stakeholders to architect long-term physician workforce strategies, anticipating future talent needs and mitigating potential critical shortages.
  • Oversees enterprise onboarding strategy, including New Employee Orientation for physicians, administrative staff, and locum tenens.
  • Develops and leads long-range workforce planning strategies in partnership with Human Resources leadership.
  • Uses data insights and talent acquisition metrics to anticipate workforce gaps, improve outcomes, and provide recruitment performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Develops and manages Talent Acquisition’s operating budget and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborates with internal communications to elevate Northwest Permanente’s employer brand and implement data-driven sourcing strategies.
  • Mentors, develops, and leads a multi-level Talent Acquisition team (including recruiters, coordinators, and people leaders), fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws, organizational recruitment policies, EEO/AA requirements, immigration compliance programs, audits, and regulatory review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, organizational development, public health, health care administration, or another closely related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive talent acquisition experience; physician recruitment experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of recruitment best practices, human resources laws and practices, state and federal employment laws, and regulatory requirements for large employers.
  • Experience with leading-edge applicant tracking systems, sourcing, recruitment, and selection processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to achieve goal-directed outcomes and lead through collaboration, influence, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with executive leadership, department chiefs and leaders, HR teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and deliver training aligned with human resources accountabilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using talent acquisition metrics and analytics.
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, influence, and relationship-building skills.
