Program SummaryThe U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army's mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.
Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.
Job SummaryThe Lead Software Developer serves as a senior technical leader responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software solutions supporting TACOM systems and operations. This role leads development teams, ensures coding standards and best practices are followed, and delivers high-quality, secure, and scalable applications. The position is responsible for providing technical direction and solutions to program and business stakeholders.
This position is contingent upon awardRoles and Responsibilities - Perform as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business applications associated to assigned projects.
- Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, guidance, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned application & development projects.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of conversion and developmental projects with requestors to include design, migration, data validation, and solution implementation phases of a project.
- Work with customers and technical staff in the development and resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for application modifications or enhancements.
- Participate in the development of end user manuals for all developed applications.
- Assist in the training of less experienced developer staff in the capacity as a team leader for complex projects.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related Business Applications field and more than 10 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience with technology including, but not limited to, LMP/CAMS/SQL/BI/BO/SAP/Power Platform Applications/SharePoint.
- 10 years of SAP experience including implementation of LMP (Logistics Management Program) Increment I & II and CAMS.
- Versed in creating reports/queries in Business Objects, Business Intelligence, MII, and object other oriented platforms.
- Process development experience at WVA in the Arsenal Manufacturing environment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience supporting DoD, Army, or TACOM programs
- Prior government contracting experience
Additional InformationThis position will be performed in office, data center, or operational environment that requires prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional movement within facilities. Employees may also be required to work shifts, overtime, or weekend support based on mission needs.

The salary range for this position is $138,800 - $208,200. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
