Job Overview:

The Systems Training Analyst Level II/End-to-End Systems Engineer supports the Technical Integration Team during U.S. Army training events that stimulate Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS). The position serves as a technical integration subject matter expert for training networks, simulations, and mission command systems; develops exercise network architectures; maintains MCIS baselines; and troubleshoots end-to-end connectivity in support of MEDCoE student and distributed training.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Serve as the technical integration SME for integrating training networks, simulations, and mission command systems for exercises.
  • Develop step-by-step integration guides, technical checklists, and signed pre-exercise validation or COMMEX reports confirming that systems communicate properly.
  • Support the training audience with exercise technical planning, network architecture, Technical Integration Working Groups, and Technical Exercise Support Plans.
  • Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, system topologies, data-flow diagrams, TIWG presentations, meeting minutes, and other technical planning artifacts.
  • Coordinate technical integration requirements with the BCTC Network Engineer and other technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and coordinate Port, Protocol, and Service Management requirements, firewall requests, technical requirements matrices, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Provide network and end-user technical support for MEDCoE student and distributed training events.
  • Maintain help-desk ticket logs and system availability or uptime records and provide required status inputs.
  • Manage MCIS systems and implement required updates, patches, and Army software baselines.
  • Maintain configuration-management logs, software baseline documents, version-control trackers, and IAVA/STIG compliance records.
  • Troubleshoot MCIS and related software connectivity issues; perform root-cause analysis and document corrective actions.
  • Develop knowledge-base articles, troubleshooting SOPs, and recurring-issue resolution guidance.
  • Provide expertise in simulation and stimulation of MCIS using Army Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming TADSS.
  • Submit required technical and exercise deliverables to the Primary Program POC and COR in the Government-approved format and within the required timeline.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Competencies :
  • End-to-end systems engineering and technical integration.
  • Network architecture design, implementation, and documentation.
  • Army MCIS, simulation architectures, LVC-G, and TADSS.
  • Exercise technical planning and Technical Integration Working Groups.
  • Configuration management, patching, IAVA, and STIG compliance.
  • Network and application troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical support.
  • Technical writing, stakeholder coordination, organization, and attention to detail.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Education :
  • Current certification meeting DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level II requirements, at minimum.
  • At least four years of experience designing and implementing network architectures.
  • Strong understanding of communications support to U.S. Army operations and training.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Army simulation architectures and capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable U.S. Army regulations and policies.
  • Ability to integrate training networks, simulations, and mission command systems and troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contract requirements.

Preferred Skills :
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Management or a related field.
  • Military service with experience comparable to the required qualifications.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army training, operations, TADSS, and MCIS.
  • Military service in Signal, Communications, or Cyber units or functional areas.
