SUMMARY: The Systems/Software Engineer collaborates with clients to design, evaluate, and optimize system architectures. This role bridges hardware and software requirements-conducting site modeling, evaluating network and cloud infrastructure, and ensuring proposed deployment solutions are feasible, compliant, and cost-effective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Infrastructure & Automation: Design, configure, and maintain virtualized environments and datacenter infrastructure; write scripts to automate deployment and operational workflows.
- System Architecture & Siting: Propose network architectures, backhaul communications, and system configurations tailored to client specifications and site parameters.
- Technical Compliance & Proposals: Translate client RFIs/RFQs into actionable proposals; build compliance matrices against industry standards; prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Documentation & Support: Maintain product configuration definitions and technical documentation across new and existing product lines.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of software/systems engineering experience.
- Virtualization: Hands-on experience with VMware and OpenStack (or equivalent cloud platforms).
- Datacenters: Practical knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, hardware setup, and deployment.
- Linux OS: Strong administration-level competence in Linux environments.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for system automation and administration.
- Networking: Solid understanding of network architecture, protocols, and routing/switching fundamentals.:
