As a Systems Security Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our IT infrastructure. You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT systems, and take charge of high-level incident response and digital forensics.
Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Optimization & Process Automation: Collaborate with engineering teams to define and execute an automation roadmap, enhance CI/CD pipeline integration, and streamline build, patch, and release processes.
- Software Configuration Management & CCB Governance: Direct the Software Configuration Management (SCM) lifecycle—including facilitating the Configuration Control Board (CCB), managing baseline changes, and controlling the release of baseline CSCIs, build artifacts, and supporting documentation (e.g., A&A RMF packages, KBAs, installation scripts).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and developers to refine requirements, establish acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT, and drive quality early in the SDLC.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ISO 27001.
- Current/Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Information Systems Security Engineer Certified Authorization Professional (ISSE CAP) Certification.
- Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) Certification.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Linux, and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security Certification.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work primarily at a computer for extended periods.
- Capability to participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
