Job Description:
- The System Engineer shall be responsible for requirements engineering, integration planning, lifecycle management, and technical risk/issue mitigation across complex mission focused systems.
- The position requires strong Linux CLI expertise and deep Jira Service Desk administration experience, with responsibility for driving cross - stakeholder alignment, maintaining disciplined configuration and change control, and producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail are essential for guiding technical decisions and ensuring successful system delivery.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated proficiency navigating Linux systems using the Linux CLI
- Experience eliciting, analyzing, validating, and documenting technical and functional requirements to ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and align with mission objectives
- Experience developing detailed integration strategies, coordinating cross team dependencies, and overseeing system integration activities to ensure seamless interoperability across components
- Experience at identifying potential risks, evaluating impacts, creating mitigation plans, and tracking issues through resolution to maintain system stability
- Proficient in maintaining disciplined configuration baselines, documenting changes, enforcing version control processes, and ensuring all modifications follow established governance procedures
- Strong ability to collaborate with diverse technical and non - technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, alignment, and timely decision - making throughout the project lifecycle
- Experienced in defining system lifecycle strategies, including development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement, and decommissioning phases to support long term program sustainability
- Produces clear, comprehensive, and well-structured technical documentation, including diagrams, procedures, how-to guides, and reports that support engineering, operations, and compliance needs
- Hands - on expertise designing, configuring, and maintaining Jira Service Desk projects, workflows, automation, permissions, and custom fields to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

- Experience with Git Source Control System
Salary: $240,000 - $250,000 annually
