Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Systems & Process Specialist - Revenue Recognition COE.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

We are currently seeking an Systems & Process Specialist - Revenue Recognition COE. This position will be based at our North American HQ in Beachwood, OH with hybrid work available, if candidate is not within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH remote work may be considered.
Position Overview:
The Revenue Recognition COE Systems & Process Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the company's global revenue recognition framework within a complex electrical manufacturing and solutions environment. This position is responsible for driving process standardization, systems optimization, compliance, and continuous improvement across revenue-generating activities including product sales, engineered solutions, project-based contracts, service agreements, warranties, and software-enabled offerings.
Working closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, IT, and Business Unit leaders, this role ensures revenue processes and supporting systems align with ASC 606 requirements while enabling scalable growth, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls. This role will also work closely with the General Ledger Governance team on system implementations and acquisition related integrations
This position serves as a key member of the Global Controllership team and Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence and is instrumental in advancing digital transformation, automation, and governance initiatives across the enterprise.

Job Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition & Process Leadership
  • Support global revenue recognition processes and ASC 606 compliance.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and risk reduction.
  • Maintain process documentation and governance standards.

Systems & Digital Transformation
  • Serve as SME for revenue systems, ERP platforms, and contract tools.
  • Partner with IT on system enhancements, automation, and integrations.
  • Lead testing and implementation of system upgrades.

Contract & Business Support
  • Review complex customer agreements and determine revenue treatment.
  • Support contract review and revenue assessment processes.

Governance, Controls & Compliance
  • Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate revenue-related risks.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and revenue performance reporting.
  • Analyze data to identify compliance issues and process improvements.
  • Support close activities through reporting and monitoring.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams.
  • Support enterprise initiatives impacting revenue processes and systems.
  • Provide training on revenue recognition requirements and best practices.


Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, revenue recognition, finance transformation, financial systems, or process improvement.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, electrical, engineering, or project-based business environment preferred.

Skills:
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition requirements.
• Experience supporting ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving systems, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting and internal controls.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms and financial reporting systems.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, Oracle, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar reporting tools.
• Process mapping and workflow design expertise.
• Data analysis and business process automation experience.
• Experience documenting business requirements and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Up to 25% travel required.
