Overview

Stellar Solutions is seeking a Systems Integrator to support the development and deployment of next-generation Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities for a Government customer. This role will develop and execute integration approaches across space and ground systems, helping ensure remote sensing capabilities are effectively integrated and delivered to support critical warfighter missions. The position requires strong systems engineering judgment, cross-system coordination, and the ability to evaluate requirements, technologies, interfaces, and program risks across a complex space enterprise.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Systems Integrator will lead and support integration activities spanning the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels. Working closely with Government and program stakeholders, this position will help translate mission requirements into executable integration plans while identifying technical, schedule, cost, and performance risks that could affect delivery. The role also supports continued evaluation of emerging requirements, technologies, threats, and integration methodologies applicable to remote sensing missions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute system integration plans for space and ground systems supporting Environmental Monitoring missions.
  • Lead and support integration activities at the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels.
  • Support development, analysis, and verification of system requirements.
  • Develop, evaluate, and support governance of interface control documentation across integrated systems.
  • Assess program critical paths, technical performance measures, technical specifications, and test results to identify integration risks and dependencies.
  • Evaluate schedule, cost, and technical risks and recommend solutions that support successful program execution.
  • Analyze information from Government contracts and reporting systems to assess performance and identify future trends.
  • Coordinate integration activities across satellite, payload, ground, and supporting system interfaces.
  • Research emerging requirements, technologies, threats, methodologies, and tools relevant to remote sensing system integration.
  • Apply systems engineering, integration, and test principles to support delivery of operational warfighter capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing for space-based remote sensing systems.
  • Experience working on satellite programs.
  • Experience with requirements development or verification.
  • Experience with interface control document development or governance.
  • Knowledge of program critical paths, earned value management, technical performance measures, technical specifications, and test reports from multiple organizations.
  • Ability to assess schedule, cost, and risk issues and develop recommended solutions.
  • Knowledge of Government contracts and reporting systems used to extract data and analyze future performance trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with space-based Environmental Monitoring.
  • Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared, defense weather, or tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance mission areas.
  • Experience with remote sensing payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite buses, and satellite subsystems.
  • Experience with spacecraft subsystems including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, Telemetry, Tracking, and Command, communications, data processing, and structures.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or DoD 5000.02.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP.
  • DAWIA Level III Program Manager certification or Acquisition Professional Development Program Program Management Level III certification.

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • Secret clearance required
  • Current TS/SCI eligibility desired.

Compensation:

The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $115,000 - $159,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a comprehensive total rewards package that includes an annual performance bonus, an employer-funded Profit-Sharing Plan (PSP) contribution based on base compensation, and comprehensive employer-paid medical benefits, PTO pay-out options, along with additional company-sponsored benefits. All of these benefits represent an additional 30-40% to your base compensation for a total compensation package.

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
