Application Support Engineer - Teladoc Telehealth Platform

2+ years supporting telehealth, healthcare applications, digital health platforms, patient engagement systems, or virtual care solutions.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the Teladoc Telehealth Platform and its integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform availability, resolving incidents, supporting business users, monitoring interfaces, and coordinating with infrastructure, integration, and vendor teams to maintain a seamless virtual care experience.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Teladoc and related telehealth applications.
  • Monitor platform health, user experience, and transaction processing.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA targets.
  • Support production deployments, releases, and change activities.

Integration Monitoring & Support
  • Support integrations & Monitor API transactions and interface queues.

User & Operational Support
  • Support clinical, administrative, and operational users.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and role-based security.
  • Assist with onboarding and configuration activities.
  • Provide end-user training and documentation as required.

Platform Administration
  • Monitor system performance and capacity.
  • Conduct application health checks.
  • Support configuration updates and system maintenance.
  • Coordinate with vendor support teams for complex issues.

Required Skills

Technical Skills
  • 5 + years of experience supporting telehealth, patient engagement, or healthcare applications.
  • 5 + years of understanding of REST APIs and web services.
  • 5 + years of experience with:
    • Application monitoring tools
    • Log analysis
    • Incident management platforms (ServiceNow preferred)
    • SQL queries and database troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of:
    • HL7/FHIR healthcare integration standards
    • Healthcare workflows and clinical operations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).

Support Skills
  • Production support experience in a 24x7 environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience handling Sev1/Sev2 incidents.
  • Ability to coordinate with global teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Teladoc or similar virtual care platforms.
  • Exposure to Epic, Cerner, or other EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Healthcare domain experience.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
