The Opportunity:
Join our team as aSystems Engineer / Technical Writersupporting a program where your communication expertise will directly enhance program performance and customer delivery. In this role, you will develop, edit, organize, and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, white papers, presentations, configuration management documentation, and other communication products that support mission success.
Working closely with program leadership, functional managers, engineers, and Government stakeholders, you will ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with established program standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and polished communications.
Responsibilities:
Develop, organize, edit, and maintain program documentation and deliverables, presentations, and process documentation.
Generate and define customer requirements for RF solutions, allocate system requirements, and derive requirements to ensure the system architecture is fully defined, and compliant with mission needs.
Interface with the engineering team and work to enhance their documentation and relevant customer facing outputs
Perform quality assurance reviews of key client deliverables, including Technical Design Packages (TDPs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Design Review presentations, and other program deliverables.
Support the development and review of internal communications, memorandums, and executive-level correspondence for Program and corporate leadership.
Develop and publish documentation using, improving, and maintaining a configuration management (CM) procedure.
Create, update, and refine internal and customer-facing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and workflow diagrams.
Analyze procedures to identify gaps, conflicts, and dependencies between related processes and recommend improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation standards, style guidance, and program terminology
Coordinate document quality control activities, including in-process reviews, editing, formatting, compliance verification, and final publication.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
3+ years of technical writing, technical communications, or technical experience supporting Government, Department of War, or Intelligence Community programs.
Demonstrated experience developing, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, process documentation, and executive-level communications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, program leadership, and Government stakeholders.
Strong understanding of English grammar, editing principles, and document quality assurance practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Desired:
Experience in a technical position supporting DoW contracting.
Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, or workflow diagrams.
Experience supporting Technical Design Packages (TDPs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), White Paper development, or Governance presentations.
Familiarity with documentation style guides and technical editing standards.
Experience using SharePoint or similar document management platforms.
Experience supporting enterprise IT modernization, software development, or systems engineering programs.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$79,400 - $162,700About CACI International
