Job Description

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) portfolio. In this role, you won't just be managing tasks--your primary mission will be high-level oversight and sharing technical subject matter expertise, ensuring execution across critical Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Portfolios. Position is available in sunny El Segundo, California.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:
  • Lead and support Production and Manufacturing efforts, including Production/Manufacturing Reviews and Readiness Assessments; provide systems engineering support to the Chief Engineer (CHENG) and CHENG activities;
  • Oversee development contractor production, integration, and manufacturing activities;
  • Support system integration of multiple efforts, and support overall System of Systems deployment into Operation;
  • Perform Systems Engineering Analyses and Assessments; to include Configuration Control Board support, Design variance approval, Technical Risk Assessments;
  • Make Program-Level Risks Assessments and provides actionable recommendations to the Chief Engineer and Program Manager.
  • Independently collaborate with Government Program Office representatives, FFRDC, SETA, and contractor personnel.


Qualifications

This is you:
  • Bachelor of Science or applicable and 9 years or more experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination
  • Experience with Production and Manufacturing Project Phases, systems engineering, and overseeing development Contractor Integration, Production, Manufacturing and Sustainment efforts
  • Experience with Change Control Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Design Change Processes


Nice to have:
  • Manufacturing and Production Experience
  • Experience with Systems Sustainment; to include, but no limited to, Reliability and Maintainability Functions, as well as Product Support Engineering Activities and Planning
