Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Entarian is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer - Requirements & RVTM who is responsible for designing, integrating, and managing complex systems throughout their life-cycle. This role ensures that all technical components work cohesively to meet operational, functional, and performance requirements. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with experience in system architecture, requirements development, system verification, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Analyze and translate stakeholder needs into detailed system requirements and specifications
  • Develop system architectures, interface definitions, and integration plans
  • Build, maintain, and manage the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) to ensure complete and accurate requirement coverage
  • Establish verification methods and link requirements to test procedures, analyses, demonstrations, and inspections
  • Ensure traceability from system requirements to design, implementation, and testing artifacts
  • Perform system modeling, simulations, and trade studies to evaluate design alternatives
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes for system-level problems
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and external partners to ensure consistent technical execution
  • Prepare technical documentation including requirements baseline, system design documents, test plans, RVTM updates, and analysis reports
  • Ensure system compliance with applicable standards, policies, and security requirements
  • Provide technical input throughout the full system life-cycle, including concept development, implementation, upgrades, and sustainment


Salary range: $120,000.00 - $146,000.00

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting complex defense, space, communications, information technology, intelligence, or mission operations programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience developing or maintaining RVMs/RVTMs or other formal requirements-traceability tools
  • Knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (INCOSE, MBSE, DoDAF, SysML)
  • Strong understanding of system requirements, interface management, and configuration control
  • Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, Enterprise Architect)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present technical briefings to senior government leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, technical reviews, and operational activities.
