Full Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide leadership and direction in designing and deploying mission systems for airborne platforms for the US National Security Ecosystem. This is an exceptional opportunity for an engineer with a combination of technical expertise, program leadership experience, and the ability to interface with customers to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership in the design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft mission systems with both hardware and software
  • Elicit, synthesize, and decompose high-level operational requirements into derived subsystem-level requirements; manage traceability throughout the systems lifecycle
  • Perform trade studies to evaluate commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) components against mission capabilities, cost, and schedule constraints
  • Evaluate design alternatives for impact on cost, schedule
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • US Citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of experience designing complex mission systems, including integrated hardware and software mission systems
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, synthesize, and decompose requirements with a focus on mission capabilities
  • Experience using simulation capabilities to analyze alternate designs
  • Experience developing radiation-hardened components systems is a plus


MORSE Corp's salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an "open" leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an "unlimited" paid leave policy.

Compensation

$90,000-$210,000 USD
