Nature and Scope of JobWe are seeking an experienced Application System Administrator to support manufacturing, laboratory, and automation systems at a regulated biotech/pharma site. The contractor will ensure all supported systems remain reliable, secure, compliant, and inspection-ready in accordance with GxP standards and site procedures. This role works cross-functionally with Automation Engineering, IT, Quality, and Operations teams to maintain day-to-day system operations and support continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities- Administer and maintain OT/automation applications including DeltaV, Rockwell FactoryTalk, PI Historian, LabX, Unicorn, Sartocheck 5, ThinManager, Metasys, and Nova Biomass
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions; support periodic access reviews and resolve access-related issues
- Monitor system performance and availability; respond to and troubleshoot incidents and escalate critical issues per site procedures
- Support root cause investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities
- Execute system changes through approved change control processes and maintain configuration documentation
- Ensure backup processes are operational, monitored, and validated; support disaster recovery testing
- Perform periodic system health checks including audit trail reviews, antivirus logs, and user account reviews
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready system documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and activity logs
- Support regulatory inspections and audits as required
Additional Responsibilities - Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Qualifications- Experience administering computerized systems in a GxP-regulated environment
- Hands-on knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems (DeltaV, Rockwell FactoryTalk), Historian platforms (PI), and/or laboratory systems (LabX, Unicorn, Sartocheck 5)
- Understanding of data integrity principles (ALCOA+) and Computerized System Validation (CSV)
- Familiarity with change control and CAPA processes, including TrackWise or similar quality management systems
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and operate effectively in an audit-ready environment
Education & Certifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred

CompensationSalary/Hourly Rate Range (W2): USD 65.00 - 80.00
The base salary/hourly rate range represents the anticipated low and high end of the USDM's compensation range for this position. Actual salaries/hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on market survey data or budget.
