Systems Engineer to join our team in
Herndon, VA. The Systems Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining enterprise data feeds that power network and security intelligence platforms. In this role, you will integrate data from multiple vendor APIs, create robust ETL pipelines, and leverage AI to handle complex data extraction and normalization challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Design and maintain enterprise data feeds from 10+ network and security vendor APIs.
- Build intelligent parsers that handle diverse data formats.
- Orchestrate automated pipelines for regular data download, transformation, and loading.
- Ensure reliability and performance through continuous monitoring, error handling, and optimization.
- Adapt to system changes by quickly resolving API updates, data format changes, and vendor issues.
- Integrate AI capabilities for data extraction, classification, anomaly detection, and auto-healing.
- Perform technical evaluations of new tools for potential use and positive impact on project processes.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma and 10+ years' experience with Systems Engineering, Data Engineering or similar technical role
- 5+ years' experience building production data pipelines with Python
- Experience consuming REST or similar APIs at scale
- Experience with network and security tools such as Nmap, Rapid7, or similar tools
- Experience integrating AI capabilities with applications for efficient code responses
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong software testing practices and quality standards
Clearance Requirements: Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph is required
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$295,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
