MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-and-customer-oriented
Data Engineer to join our team in
Herndon, VA. The Data Engineer is responsible for making data available, accessible, and secure to all stakeholders. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at enterprise scale.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Create robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics tools.
- Work with various analysts to craft clear operational and technical requirements.
- Enumerate necessary datasets and design data models and schemas to support requirements.
- Provide platform support, including problem-solving and debugging, for production issues.
- Interact and collaborate across services and communities involved in multi-domain Cyber Defense to achieve breakthrough capability improvements.
- Analyze data sources for accuracy and data prioritization, applying appropriate logic to developed solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma and 3+ years' experience with Data Engineering, Software Engineering or Software Development
- 3+ years' experience coding in Python
- Experience with Database Management, SQL, and PostgreSQL
- Experience with ETL tools, data transformation, and data pipeline development
- Experience taking data collection requirements and translating those requirements into implementable solutions
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
- Experience with enterprise-scale cyber defense platforms and multi-domain data environments
- Experience with data modeling and schema optimization techniques
Clearance Requirements: Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph required
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
