Job Summary: The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems to support program and organizational goals. This role takes a holistic view throughout the system lifecycle, from concept development, requirements capture and design, through integration, verification, operations and disposal. The systems engineer is the primary interface among management, customers, suppliers, and specialty disciplines, ensuring all stakeholder needs and constraints are properly understood and addressed. Ensures that all systems function efficiently and effectively, aligning with business objectives. The Systems Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance. Key Responsibilities: 3 Assist in the implementation of the required government policy to make recommendations on project tailoring, participate in and document project activities3 Perform both technical and non-technical assessments of requirements and work with functional area personnel to develop design to remediate those requirements3 This position is primarily focused on the Operations & Sustainment of several interconnect ed networks; however, knowledge of the System Engineering processes, Agile development, and DevOps is essential for mission success Qualifications: 3 Education: Level 3: Bachelors + 5 years of experience or 3 years with a Masters; 0 with Ph.D 3 Experience: 4 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree3 Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph3 Required Skills:3 Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes3 Experience with Agile development3 Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Office Products 3 Preferred Skills: 3 Experience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all the following platforms: Linux, Windows servers/clients, and Oracle/SQL Databases3 Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers3 Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and externally) in support of requirements development3 Solid technical foundation in Systems Engineering processes3 Experience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments3 Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment3 Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments3 Security + or another DoD 8570 approved certification Work Environment/Physical Requirements: 3 Position is normally Mon - Fri: may require on-call, evening, and weekend support during system anomalies or mission requirements.3 Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
