Job Title: Systems Engineer II
Department: Engineering Development
Reports To: Manager, Operations

Rate of pay: $85,000 - $115,000 USD
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Tier III service impairments and maintain accurate documentation of related trouble tickets.
Provide support for high availability NextGen 9-1-1 VoIP telephony signaling & voice networks.
Support for SIP-based monitoring infrastructure and network capture tools.
Work with other teams to plan, design, and implement systems in a heterogeneous, distributed Build lab environments and perform acceptance testing of new products.
Serve as a support for SIP signaling related to Next Gen 9-1-1 call delivery.
Install, provision and support NextGen 9-1-1 call routing and delivery systems.
Document system configurations and operational procedures.
Participate in ISO-9000, TL-9000, and ISO-27001 compliance and documentation activities.
Provide technical expertise for future Comtech services in the telecommunications sector.
Responsible for supporting hosted and in-network ALI products and services.
Design, install, configure and support high availability ALI applications (five 9's) for E9-1-1 and NextGen E9-1-1 call routing and delivery systems.
Configure and maintain Automatic Location Information application systems on Windows and Linux platforms.
Serve as an engineer for ALI applications and delivery/display of location information related to E9-1-1 calls to PSAPs.
Stay apprised of technological trends in telecommunications.
Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
Work independently on projects assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with telephony protocols (e.g. SIP, SS7, ISDN, RFAI, i3 and CAMA).
Experience supporting Sun Solaris Unix and Linux RedHat environments.
NextGen 9-1-1 knowledge

Education:
