Summary: Develops system requirement specifications for mechanical, structural or electrical/electronic design by analyzing user's requirements, concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Develops technical documentation.
- Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
- Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Contributes to the technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of all components of complex hardware/software systems to include network analysis, functional allocation, systems requirements reviews, interface standards and system architectures.
- Contributes to the design and execution of unit, system and operational test and evaluation.
- Contributes to successful system accreditation for operation on DoD networks.
- Analyzes system requirements and supports design and development activities.
- Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, oversee production, and maintain work schedules.
- Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers and senior executives.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Field
- Up to four (0-4) years of Systems Engineering or Systems Integration experience
- Experience working with integrated systems (hardware + software + network)
- Comfortable working in environments with limited documentation or legacy systems
- Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting across multiple layers (application, OS, network)
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, ports, connectivity troubleshooting)
- Experience working in virtualized environments (e.g., VMware or similar)
- Ability to read and modify code or scripts (Java, PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Experience interacting with or testing APIs (REST, HTTP calls, etc.)
- Experience writing or working with technical documentation and test procedures
- Knowledge of DoD System Architecture and system design documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
- Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Advanced level user in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio).
- Candidate must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with test planning, test execution, or validation environments
- Familiarity with requirements traceability (RTM) or structured test methodologies
- Experience with simulation, training systems, or lab environments
- Exposure to DoD, CUI, or controlled environments
- Experience with JIRA or similar tracking tools
- Background in system deployment, configuration, or field support
- Familiarity with Linux environments (RHEL or similar)
Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $85,000 To $105,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
