Job Description
This Systems Engineer Associate Manager role is responsible for leading a Ground Systems (GS) Systems Systems Engineering team that focuses on Maintenance Systems products, based in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate is expected to understand Systems Engineering concepts, Model Based Systems Engineering, and have the ability to provide technical direction to Systems Engineers in support of program execution priorities.
What You Will Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Workforce planning, development, and retention
- Personnel performance, compensation and promotion planning
- Oversight of cost, technical, schedule across contracts
- Input and oversight for new business capture contract proposals
- Understanding team performance and motivating quality improvement across contracted efforts
- Interfacing with external Lockheed teams to meet commitments
The focus of this role will include technical/program execution (cost, schedule and technical performance) as well as functional L-code responsibilities (employee recruitment, labor planning, performance assessments). This role will support 25% Program Overhead tasks and 75% direct on program tasks, and will report to the current Maintenance Systems Systems Engineer Manager (L5) in Orlando FL.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an STEM discipline
- Experience as a team lead
- Experience with agile development
Desired skills
- Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science in Systems Engineering
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience managing complex technical systems and programs
- Experience with software architectures
- Experience with hardware architectures
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
