Job Description
You will be the Data Analytics / Avionics Stability lead for the Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Health Management (DPHM) Team which is responsible for advancing aircraft health-monitoring capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Data Analytics / Avionics Stability lead you will be responsible for analyzing fleet diagnostics data, identifying failure trends, and driving improvements in avionics reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform system-level analysis of aircraft diagnostics to generate stability metrics and failure-characteristic trends.
Conduct model-based engineering, BIT analysis, and FMECA to support capability maturation.
Develop and refine diagnostic requirements, fault-detection strategies, and corrective-action plans.
Coordinate schedules and deliverables with technical leads, ensuring projects stay on track.
Brief project status and technical findings to engineering leadership, customers, and partner teams.
Travel up to 25% of time

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant aviation related technical degree
• Experience in Systems engineering
• Experience with performance data analytics and root cause analysis (i.e. metrics requirement definition, performance data analysis and/or reporting activities)
• Experience with MATLAB, SQL, Java, Python, or Visual Basic
• Experience working with cross-functional groups, including internal stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and/or customer stakeholders
Desired skills
• Prefer advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency/Experience with C++ or C#, object-oriented analysis and design, and Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience with health management systems and data management
• Experience with large volumes of data and/or large databases, data storage and data compression techniques.
• Experience with statistical analysis methods
• Experience with agile practices and methodologies
• Proactive engagement with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (including SysML)
• Good problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision)
• Demonstrated experience and integration of Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.
• Experience developing failure mode effects analysis and built-in-test (BIT) design.
• Familiarity with standard applied machine learning and data mining techniques.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
