BT-361 - Systems EngineerSkill Level- Subject Matter Expert
Location: McLean, VA (fully on-site, no remote option)
**Please do NOT apply if you do not have an active Poly clearance. Those without a Poly will not be considered.**REQUIRED SKILLS/DEMONSTRATES EXPERIENCE: - MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE SATCOM AND HARDWARE DESIGN EXPERIENCE. MUST HAVE MANY YEARS AGENCY EXPERIENCE.
- Engineering degree, preferably Electrical degree with 7 to 20 years of experience.
- Demonstrates expertise in systems engineering supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of complex technical developments involving hardware and software.
- Demonstrates experience in drafting requirements, engaging 3rd party vendors, managing formal program reviews, generating test plans and guiding troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates experience with identifying and championing new technical solutions.
- Demonstrates experience with technical development on both very short and intermediate timelines.
- Demonstrates experience with supporting the client's contracting processes.
- Demonstrates experience with formal documentation systems and strong ability to draft technical documentation for different audiences.
- Demonstrates experience in hands-on-technical validation and testing of technical systems, including test plan development, testing coordination, and test report documentation.
- Demonstrates experience with client's approval processes for technical testing and system deployment.
- Engineering or technical background with strong ability to apply technical domains of RF systems network infrastructure, communication protocols, quality standards, and manufacturing.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and overseas to support development and deployment of technical systems (travel up to 10%).
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:- Demonstrates experience with satellite communications/systems.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Support client's technical staff to broaden technical capabilities through 3rd party contracts and internal partnerships.
- Draft documentation and support the contracting process through SSJ, SOW, requirements, etc. products.
- Foster communication between partners to ensure high quality products are delivered on-time and on-budget
- Develop expertise in special areas and serve as a technical SME on designated topics
- Secure approvals and conduct field tests of systems under development
- Contribute to the approval process for the deployment of technical systems as technical SM
- Coordinate stakeholder engagements, such as user requirements session
- Lead technical efforts that support the O&M of deployed systems.
