JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer - Avionics Display Applications

ABOUT THE JOB:
This team is responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex functions within Next Generation Avionics Displays. You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems, Computer Science, or other related technical areas
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems development for avionics
  • Knowledge of systems/software requirements development
  • Knowledge of systems/software validation and verification
  • Knowledge of systems/software integration
  • Experience developing avionics display systems
  • Model based system design
  • Arinc 661 graphics development
  • Experience creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
  • Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional design teams

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C processes
  • Using Simulink for model-based system design
  • Using SCADE for Arinc 661 graphics development
  • Experience with DOORS
